Shadow Graphics started out as a cut vinyl shop back in the 80s with only a gerber plotter and digitizer. Business grew quickly for the small shop located in Toms River, New Jersey, and before long Mona Wellington (Owner/President) was able to add a mobile unit.

Mona would frequent marinas in the mobile unit, doing onsite boat graphics. With her plotter she would design, cut and install graphics while clients watched. Mona would drive the mobile unit everywhere since it was free advertising. She even picked up her kids from school in it, earning it the nickname the “Ugly Purple Truck” from Mona’s youngest son Jimmy.

Its been more than twenty years since the mobile unit, and Shadow Graphics has grown tremendously. Shadow Graphics moved to Orlando, Florida in 1992 so that the warm weather would allow them to do installs all year long. Once in Orlando, Shadow Graphics quickly built a reputation for doing quality graphics.

In the early 90s as digital printing was introduced to the graphic industry, Shadow Graphics quickly embraced the new technology becoming the expert in wrapping vehicles. In 1994 Shadow Graphics wrapped the iconic Sky Tower Ride, at Seaworld Orlando, to look like a soccer ball for the World Cup Soccer Championships. The two-level passenger ride wrap was large enough to be viewed from at least 100 miles away by the jets landing at Orlando International Airport.

Securing their reputation as wrap installers, Shadow Graphics purchased a Scotch-print printer in 1995 and began designing and printing vehicle wraps themselves. As the digital printing industry has continued to evolve, so has Shadow Graphics. We now use state-of-the-art, 6-color process printers with Eco-Sol inks that are gentle on the environment. Our printers are kept in a climate controlled print room, at optimum temperature and humidity, to ensure the quality of the prints. We install vehicle graphics in the controlled environment of our air conditioned bay to keep environmental factors such as rain, dust, cold and heat from compromising the vinyl. Shadow Graphics is proud to be a UASG (United Application Standards Group), 3M Certified and PDAA Master Certified Installer. Shadow Graphics has provided exceptional products and services to large national clients, such as FedEx, as well as local clients such as theme parks, Mears and NASA, for over 16 years. The wall murals installed at NASA’s launch site prove that no job is impossible for Shadow Graphics. Check out more pictures of our work at NASA and other clients by clicking on the clients button.
